IRVING'S DEBUT
Kyrie Irving annouces that he will play for the Duke Blue Devils on October 22, 2009 during an ESPN-U show. He'll start the 2010-2011 season as the team best scorer. Though, during his 8th game he tores a ligament in his right toe, which deprives him of almost the entire season.
He returns on the bench during the NCAA championship, with a limited amount of game time. Duke finally ends its season with a loss against the Arizona Wildcats.

Irving announces that he decides not to play his last three college seasons to enter the 2011 NBA Draft. He was chosen as the first draft pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
A NEW LEADER FOR THE CAVS
Lebron James' departure left the Cleveland Cavaliers without a leadear. By averaging 18 points per game, and by taking importants shots, Irving becomes the new leader of the team. He'll make game winning shots twice this season against Denver and Boston.
He also brought the Cavs back in the Playoff race, but Anderson Varejão's mid season injury makes the drop down in the raking.
At the en of the season, he received the NBA Rookie of the Year Award before Ricky Rubio from the Timberwolves and Kenneth Faried from the Nuggets.
OFF TO BOSTON
Eager not to play in Lebron James shadow anymore. Kyrie Irving asked to be traded at the end of the 2016-2017 season.
He is sent to Boston in exchange of Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Žižić and a 2018 1st round draft pick.
Despite a hard season debut due to Gordon Hayward very bad injury. The Boston Celtics go on a 16 game winning streak. Especially against the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors.
Kyrie Irving will serve as the Celtics point guard for two years before signing a 4 years deal with the Nets in 2019.
PLAYING CLOSER TO HOME
" Throughout that year, it just became rocky, and a lot of the battles that I thought I could battle through from the team environment, I just wasn’t ready for,” Irving said. “And I failed those guys in a sense that I didn’t give them everything that I could have during that season, especially with the amount of pieces that we had. My relationships with them personally were great, but in terms of me being a leader in that environment, I failed. "
